Our Story…

Knight Auction Service was started in 1958 by Gerald Knight, a graduate of the Mason City, IA auction school. Gerald began like most young auctioneers selling his fair share of benefits and pie suppers. Gerald remained active in the auction business until early 2011. As the auction business grew he made it a family affair with the help of his wife, Wanda, and their children.

Today the business is run by brothers, Jeff and Steve Knight. While following the old fashioned ideas on how to treat people fairly and run a business, are still the backbone of Knight Auction Service, LLC. The boys have introduced modern technologies into the auction arena; whether it be computerized clerking or online bidding, the Knight’s strive for top dollar on each item they sell.
